I'll give what I can.
I am the pastor. I am in charge.
Only the pastor can help me.
I am ordained, you are not. I come to church for what I can get out of it for myself. If we say the name of Jesus we may offend someone. My staff is incompetent.
We don't minister to those folks.
Don't you challenge my authority. My name is on the sign, I am the pastor. Our best days are before us. Every Christian should be in ministry. I am committed to the financial success of our church. Membership is a privilege. I want to take it seriously. I am the pastor, I am here to serve. We have a competent staff and lay team that can serve our congregation's needs. Everyone is valuable in the church. I am here primarily to help win people to Jesus Christ.
Jesus is the way the truth and the life.
In a large church there is so much going on that I can't possibly keep up with it. Let's try something new. We accept, love, and hug all kinds of folks. It is a joy to be alive in God's world.
