Methodist Church was officially organized in 1976 with 23 charter families. The former “church without walls” finally had a home when its first building was built on Woods Chapel Road in 1977, and later expanded in 1983. In November 1974, a handful of people joined together for the first worship service of the Woods Chapel Church. This new congregation was a “church without walls,” holding Sunday services at the parsonage and meeting in members’ homes for small group fellowship. With a dream of opening their hearts and doors to connect others to Jesus Christ, the Woods Chapel United Take care, lest a root of bitterness spring up, and by it many be defiled. - Hebrews 12:15
